Welcome back, pox walkers! HorrorCore is in the rearview mirror, but never assume that we’ve stopped believing at Rockstar Pro! We’re already rocketing toward November full speed ahead. Read ahead to discover what happened during the week immediately following the massive changes from HorrorCore.
Ugh. Announcer JP invited “Lost Girl” Samantha Heights to the ring to address Kyle Maverick’s departure from Rockstar Pro. She didn’t even get a word out before both interviewer and interviewee were attacked from behind by Aaron Williams. Williams stood threateningly over Heights, a twisted smile spreading across his lips. Dustin Rayz then appeared and shot across the entrance ramp toward Aaron! Aaron made a quick retreat through the Rockstar Nation. Not a single wrestler got a word out, so it seems we’ll have to wait to hear from these competitors.
After that unpleasantness, it was time for some wrestling! Triple Threat action followed between “The Promised Prince” Brian Pillman Jr, “Some Guy” Pompano Joe, and “Bare Knuckle Berserker” Lord Crewe. Pillman still boasts a picture perfect Dropkick, but he also takes crazy risks that could cost him in the long run. Crewe brought his heavy fists and massive boots that landed with devastating effect. Joe was also there. In a moved that defied all logic, Pompano was able to hit a Homey Driver on Pillman onto a prone Crewe. This gave Joe a massive win by pinning both of his opponents. Whatever. He’s still a wiener.
Our second match of the night saw “Legendary” Larry D go one-on-one with “The Hawkeye” 1 Called Manders. Manders was hot off his win against Wings in the Monsters Beneath the Ring Match, while Larry D was clearly furious about the outcome of HorrorCore’s main event. I, for one, wouldn’t want to be Manders going into this contest. Manders put up one helluva fight, but it was always going to be an uphill battle against Larry D. “The Hawkeye” relied on his college football background to deal with his larger opponent. Manders dropped down into a three-point stance and rushed Larry D. Larry threw a KO Punch that instantly dropped Manders and brought D a pinfall victory. Larry then demanded a mic and made a great point. Every time Larry D has become #1 Contender to the World Champion additional competitors have been added to his title matches. D demanded to face Rayz one-on-one for the Rockstar Pro World Championship. Honestly, this argument has merit.
DDT Pro made an appearance again when “The Blazing Raze” Rekka faced Yoshimura in a rubber match after the two went 1-1 over the course of the two most recent episodes of Amped. These two young athletes put on a great contest, pulling out all the stops to impress the Rockstar Nation. As we’ve seen in past confrontations, Yoshimura is all about power while Rekka relies on speed and agility. Yoshimura gained an early advantage and perhaps got too cocky when he picked his opponent up rather than getting a three count. Rekka took the win with a reversal into a Crucifix Pin! Thanks to DDT Pro for sending incredible talent all the way across the globe to Dayton, Ohio!
Six-man tag action was up next. The team of “Pure Trash” Ron Mathis, Crash Jaxon & “The Disasterpiece” Kobain faced The Administration (President “True Grit” Bruce Grey, “Executive Secretary of Defense” Mr. Boone & “Executive Secretary of Offense” Mr. Bruise). This match included the type of frenetic, high-impact action that put Rockstar Pro on the map! All six men put up incredible efforts, but only one could win. As Mr. Boone grappled with Crash, Brucey Jack made a blind tag. Grey jumped in the ring, caught a unaware Jaxon, and dropped Crash right on his recently shaved head with a DDT! That’s one more for The Administration!
A chorus of boos rang out when P.D. Barton entered the squared circle. He invited Principal Owner CW Scott to the ring so he could beg for his old job back. Barton claimed that he wanted everything to get “back to normal.” As Barton begged on his knees, CW Scott actually showed some mercy and a little bit of kindness. He invited Barton to come back as a junior official as long as he had absolutely no contact with Jeremiah. That’s when “The Destroyer” took his cue and joined them in the ring. Jeremiah couldn’t comprehend how his close friend Barton could do this to him. Barton said he had a family to take care of now* and was moving on. Jeremiah responded with a low kick to Barton’s knees followed my a massive Powerbomb. Jeremiah then wept like a child, cradling the knocked out Barton in his arms. What the hell was that?
The newest members of The Administration The Bambino Family (Dom & Vinny Bambino) faced Rockstar Pro Tag Team Champions The Dirty (“Bulletproof” Brandon Edwards & “Cutthroat” Austin Manix) in a non-title tag match. The Bambinos came out strong, fighting with all they had for recognition and a taste of glory at Rockstar Pro. Hey. If Bruce Grey believe in them, then so do I! Edwards and Manix may not share our feelings of approval for this young duo. It didn’t take long for The Dirty to take over and dominate their hapless opponents. They dumped Vinny out of the ring and focused their collective offense on Dom. One Dreamkiller later The Dirty won once again. They are truly on a roll!
Once again “Too Swoll to Control” Clayton Gainz went toe-to-toe with “The Ace of Spades” Ace Austin in a singles match. You might actually be able to see this one on YouTube, even though you don’t really deserve it. Ace might still be both DTU Alto Impacto Champion and Wrestling Revolver Open Invite Champion, but he’s still only defeated Gainz once in their eleven singles confrontations. Spoiler alert: Ace’s record would not improve at this Amped! Ace thought he’d get clever by stealing Clay’s fanny pack and leaping over the 3CC. Clay was even smarter. He feinted the move before going in for the kill and blasted Austin with a 3CC for the ages! Three seconds later Clay went up on Ace with a record of 11-1 over “The Ace of Spades” Ace Austin!
Our main event pitted the new Rockstar Pro World Champion “The Catalyst” Dustin Rayz against the man he pinned at HorrorCore “The Reborn” Aaron Williams. Rayz even put his World Championship on the line in this contest, as Williams desperately wanted a rematch after his loss at HorrorCore! The two went at it with a ferocity only friends turned bitter enemies could ever produce. Dustin has proven the effectiveness of his Catalyst Driver time and time again, but once more never hurts! Rayz got the Double Underhook and dropped Aaron right on the top of his skull. With this pinfall victory, Rayz has solidified himself as a true champion. Now, how will he deal with Larry D’s best hand in the house?
